Apart from Squash becoming a priority sport some more great news for Asian Squash –
Mr. Ramachandran, President ASF received a letter from the Director General OCA confirming that squash will be a sport in the next Asian games and the BEST news -
there will be a team event for the 1st time ever.

Mr N Ramachandran, President of the Asian Squash Federtiaon (ASF) and his team had made a concerted effort to get Squash included in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. the Olympic Council of Asia at their Geneal Assembly held in Kuwait on 17th April 2007 were fully satisfied with the presentation made by the ASF and not only included Squash in the 2010 Games but also approved the inclusion of the Team Event in the Asian Games.

The Event

Junior Men & Junior Women of age under 19, Individual & Team competitions. For Team competitions, each team consists of three players competing in order of strength.

Event Date

3rd - 6th February, 2007 Individual Competition
  (Semi-Finals starting at 4:00pm on 5th Feb)
  (Finals starting at 5:00pm on 6th Feb)
   
7th - 10th February, 2007 Team Competition
  (Finals starting at 2:00pm on 10th Feb)
